Collection: Serenity

Serenity

Serenity: to be quiet, calm, still. A state in which the world settles into peace.

As the wood is carved, its grain reveals scars, cracks, and knots — proof that it once lived. Nothing less than the memory of a life the tree wrote for itself, in a harsh land.

The tree has written its own life in the scars and knots carved into its body. I only carve out that memory, and shape it to fit your hand.

Whether it's the faintest waver or a disruption the tree could not resist, your fingertips settle into both the same way. Before words can explain it, your fingertips already know the years the tree has lived through.

A slight curve, pleasing to the touch. Before you begin to write, or in a pause between thoughts, it is the threshold that returns a restless mind to stillness. Fingertips that were only meant to touch the memory of wood find, before long, that they are touching something inside yourself.

In an age of such relentless change, even if the world outside leaves you unsettled — when you hold this pen, if only for that moment, feel the weight of years the tree has overcome. Let even its scars be embraced as a beautiful proof, and settle into peace.

The past the tree has written, and the future you will go on writing. Two stories, crossing in a single pen.

In the Place Closest to your silence...
